YouTube gave me a strike for a video of the daycare workers screaming in the faces of 2 and 3 year old kids. The strike meant I couldn’t post for one week and I’m on “90 days of being watched closely for any more mistakes”. I asked for the $60 due to me for my video views and told them I can’t “appeal the demonetization by Nov 15th” as they demanded because when you’re on Youtube restriction you can’t appeal. They just want to keep the money for all of my views. They said “if you don’t appeal within 50 days all of the money due to you goes back to the advertisers”. So this is my reply to them “
(1) the viewers already SAW the ads, therefore the advertisers already received their monies worth for each view (2) if Youtube was a FAIR platform (but we all know it is not) it would just demonetize videos they see as unfit (3) You feel it's ok to keep my $60 as I am the little, meek creator and you are the massive, big tech wealthy overlords. (4) I will not be removing "reused" videos because they are harmless, cat videos, that people enjoy watching. (5) You SHOULD do as #2 suggests and just demonetize the "reused content" that was already approved. When I did the "check" to see if the video(s) in question were ok to monetize, they were approved and earned lots of money for Youtube. NOW you want to peddle back and label the as non-monetizable so you can keep my money.
Very interesting indeed since I have had that channel for over 20 years. Keep in mind, me and millions of others also have a Rumble channel and are earning money there, without any problems.
